About Our Seniors

Pocklington Town FC run Three Saturday Senior teams playing in two different leagues, based between the main cities/towns of York, and Hull.

The clubs First team compete in the Humber Premier league. The league centres around clubs based mainly in and around Hull and was created in 2000. Pocklington joined the league in the 03/04 season and have been in the premier division ever since. The clubs first triumph in the Humber league came in the 12/13 season when they lifted the Whiteheads Fish and Chips League Cup after beating North Ferriby United reserves 3-1 in the final.

The clubs Second and Third teams compete in the York Minster Engineering Football league which as it's name suggests, centres around the city of York but also takes in opponents from Selby, Malton etc. The club have competed in the York League for many years and had there most successful spell in the late 90s/early 2000s when they went on to win the Premier League two years in a row, along with four League Cups and one York FA Cup between 1998 and 2004.

All the teams play on Saturday afternoons with occasional night games under the clubs floodlights. The clubs home ground is the Henry Thirsk Amenity centre, located on the Balk, Pocklington (YO42 2NZ) and their facilities consist of 6 changing rooms, all with showers as well as a lounge bar above the dressing rooms for after match hospitality.

The club also fields a team in the Northern Under 19 Alliance (formerly the Northern Youth Academy League) with matches taking place on a midweek evening. The league is a very competitive league consisting of four divisions stretching from the Humber estuary to the Pennines. Pocklington compete in the North Division along side teams such as Pickering Town, Scarborough Athletic and Selby Town. Along side the U19 team we also have an U18 team who compete in the Hull U18 league given players plenty of opportunities when moving up from junior football.
